The Sope! Opera
Sope! is a soap bottle design that uses an outer shell made of solid detergent that holds liquid soap inside. Although sustainable, many people avoid bar soaps due to hygiene and inconvenience. The Sope! combines the convenience and familiarity of liquid soap with a detergent-based shell that can be used or washed away as it can biodegrade. The Sope! comes with a reusable stainless steel pump that can be removed and transferred to the next Sope! once all the liquid soap has been used. The Sope! is dipped in a thin layer of beeswax to keep the exterior waterproof. While other companies have refillable bottles or provide resupply, these still require the use of plastic bottles, which are hard to clean for proper recycling. With a detergent-based shell, this product will decrease plastic bottle usage and support a sustainable world.
For the moment, we are starting with hand soap, but once we prove that there is demand for our product and it is commercially viable, we plan to move on to other products such as shampoo and body wash so that we can cover more of the soap industry.
